Paint Splashes
September 19, 2009More than a year ago, I did my first water drop experiment. It went rather well I suppose. Just a few days later I decided to approach it again, only using milk instead. NOT A GOOD IDEA! Lol. Very sticky. What was I thinking using milk? >.<
Anyway I tried to recreate the water drops again the other night. Sadly, nothing came out the way I wanted it to. I didn’t take as many shots as I should have but down below is one of the only decent water drops to share. I would describe it as…very… just there and plain.
Then today I was sitting in front of my desk thinking of something to do. I knew I wanted to take pictures, but didn’t want to go outside to search for bugs nor did I want to do any self portraits. The only thing left was to take water photos again, only I used paint today. >=D I used what I could find and had a different set up compare to a year ago. Before I would fill up a bowl of water and make splashes while playing with it. This was very inconsistent and the focus was never right. It was all base on hand and eye coordination and a lot of luck. It was stressful. -_-;;
I always work in my room so this time I decided to punched a hole in a plastic cup and let it hang down from the ceiling to drop the paint onto my table, which my camera was already focused on. It worked much better compare to the previous times. Clean up was a lot easier.
The paint gave the same look my milk pictures had, but only the process wasn’t sticky. >.< Which was a good thing.
The ones I’m showing are all very similar actually, but I hope you enjoy them. I know they aren’t outstanding, but thanks for looking! =D
Taken with Canon Powershot A640 under M mode, Photoshop for touch-ups. Got to love the powershot. *_*
Thanks for looking!
