Kure Beach. I believe that’s the beach we are leaving for in a few hours. I’m done with all my packing and am just ready to go. I hope to catch lots of fish and take a few photos here and there. Have a great weekend WordPressers! ^_~

Flowers and H2O
October 5, 2009More water drops…but I think these are some of the best water drops I have yet. I was pleased with the outcome.
There were many pictures but I narrowed it down to these three. The only thing different about these are that I added flowers in the background. >.< I used my Powershot A640 as usual, Manual Mode and my nifty crafty water dropping stand set. o.o Lol, the set up consists of tape, poster board, thumbtacks, lamps, yarn, cups, q-tips, paperclips, CDs and the camera. >.< I used what I could find to make it work! ^_^
I did noticed that I’m not very creative in Photoshop. I always follow the same routine. Open, crop, sharpen, blur, brightness, contrast and sometimes saturation. >.< If you have any tips and tricks you’d like to share, I’d love to hear it. Thank you.
I hope you enjoy these photos as much as a I enjoy capturing them.

Tangled
September 30, 2009Earlier I walked around the driveway with my camera. I was seeking for something interesting to snap with but everything seemed so dried up. I did take this picture here, I really liked the blue sky and figured I’d share it. ^_^

Canon Powershot A640

Mrytle Beach
September 30, 2009This past weekend we took a family trip to Myrtle Beach. It was fun, did a lot of fishing and not a lot of picture taking but here is a quickie that I took from our window view of the ocean. A little memory of our trip taken around 10:39am before we checked out of the hotel.

When making family trips I usually go Auto mode and AV on my powershot but I was not able to capture the details I wanted in the water. Everything was overexposed and so I decided to switch to Manual mode for this image. It was very noisey but not bad for a snap snap I suppose? As far as editing the image in photoshop, I enhanced the colors and cropped it tremendously.
Planning on hitting the beach again in 2 weeks or so to go fish again. I’ll try to be a little bit more creative next time. ^_^ Thank you for reading.

Paint Splashes
September 19, 2009More than a year ago, I did my first water drop experiment. It went rather well I suppose. Just a few days later I decided to approach it again, only using milk instead. NOT A GOOD IDEA! Lol. Very sticky. What was I thinking using milk? >.<
Anyway I tried to recreate the water drops again the other night. Sadly, nothing came out the way I wanted it to. I didn’t take as many shots as I should have but down below is one of the only decent water drops to share. I would describe it as…very… just there and plain.
Then today I was sitting in front of my desk thinking of something to do. I knew I wanted to take pictures, but didn’t want to go outside to search for bugs nor did I want to do any self portraits. The only thing left was to take water photos again, only I used paint today. >=D I used what I could find and had a different set up compare to a year ago. Before I would fill up a bowl of water and make splashes while playing with it. This was very inconsistent and the focus was never right. It was all base on hand and eye coordination and a lot of luck. It was stressful. -_-;;
I always work in my room so this time I decided to punched a hole in a plastic cup and let it hang down from the ceiling to drop the paint onto my table, which my camera was already focused on. It worked much better compare to the previous times. Clean up was a lot easier.
The paint gave the same look my milk pictures had, but only the process wasn’t sticky. >.< Which was a good thing.
The ones I’m showing are all very similar actually, but I hope you enjoy them. I know they aren’t outstanding, but thanks for looking! =D
Taken with Canon Powershot A640 under M mode, Photoshop for touch-ups. Got to love the powershot. *_*
Thanks for looking!

Good Bye?
September 16, 2009I can’t make up my mind on where I want to blog. WordPress or VOX?
I love WordPress, but it lags and freezes all the time.
I like VOX, because it is different but I don’t like the photo uploading…
*****ONE HOUR LATER*****
Okay, I will stick with WordPress. xP

Good Times
September 12, 2009Today I was thinking about one of the first film cameras I had when I was younger. When I was twelve, I received a pass down camera from my older sister Sammie. From what I recall, she apparently didn’t want it anymore because she was receiving a new one. I think she said I could take her old camera…? Not sure, but I did take it, and I still have it to this day. It’s packed up somewhere hidden in my closet but I still have it. It was made from Canon, and sometimes I wonder if this influenced me to adore Canon so much today?
The camera was kind of bulky, but it was small enough to fit in my purse and easily be carried. Not only that, it always offered me reliability and simplicity. All I had to do was insert the roll of film, close the cover, and point and shoot. It was the first camera I ever had that also offered a timer feature of 2 seconds or 10 seconds. At that time in age, for me, it was awesome and I put it to good use for four years. *_* Although the camera did have some down falls like…it used film. T_T When I ran out of film…the days were endless. But I did purchase a digital camera when I was 16, and that helped out some.
It’s funny looking back on old memories like these. They were…good times.

Latest Obsession
September 11, 2009So………….. I started reading the Twilight Saga. I’m currently on Eclipse and I find myself wondering why I didn’t read these sooner. -_- I don’t think I’ve read this much in my entire life until now. As a way of showing my interest in these books, I decided to take a snap snap for fun. >:D Hope you like it.
